i here that they are merging so what will the club be called and what colours will they wear? will it mean one less club being relegated from the welsh league?
imagine if us and the team from opposite the pie shop ever merged!
we'd be called cardiff grange harlequins and we'd play our home games at the cardiff athletics stadium and we'd play in red and white ;D

Going to be called Bridtyrion, playing at Bryntirions Ground, Bridgend paying for a 3g pitch, apparently.
Will mean one less going down so should mean a max 3 clubs could go down , instead four, but all up in air dependant on Havywest finishing position.
Dont quote me on any above mind just what I heard.

that sounds like bridgend have got the shit end of the stick. they are basically folding and handing their cash into another club by the sound of it!!

Is this a wind up? two clubs with a lot of money I am deply hurt and shocked Scrill you would think that I an upstanding member of the community would take part in a wind up  . they are merging apparently and Bridgend are paying for the 3g,(alledgedly) at Bryntirion as for the name  |

Perhaps Bridgend are just buying into the ground, for ground sharing purposes as i have heard this is now allowed in the welsh league!!

News Flash In a meeting held at Cardif on Thursday night for all JUnior leagues, Bridgend League brought up the old chestnut of Junior players playing for thir home Town team, an example was given (ibelieve) that Bridgend town and Bryntirion could merge to form one team ,this would benifit teams not having to travel. Completelety impractical, in the Rhondda league it could possbly for Say Porth not being able to field s side because some of their boys were from (sayTrealaw0

Cambrian probably exempt due toFAW ruling and the fact that it isa RCT Acadamy.(Could start a real Forum here Huw!!) remember the ruling would only affect Junior teams.and would probably be a League to League Ruling( come in SWFA)
As for your other question, least said the beter.

It seems that it is not all sweetness and light in this merger. I spoke to the Bryntirion secretary at the League meeting last night and he is not at all happy with the joining together of Bridgend's two finest. In fact, he's decided to resign as of today and all secreterial duties will be undertaken by his wife. So watch this space regarding the Bridgtirion Town & Athletic FC saga!!!!
