Sorry but have to say this but the reports by one particular club always says even when losing games they were always the better team and should have won the game. I also saw this last season when they were thrashed. Lets hope for a more un biased report soon.

Give you a clue. In last weeks report they could have been mistaken for the First Division leaders instead of a Third Division side. Maybe on this occasion it was true?

Well wasn't actually there had take my elderly father down Cardiff City, before anyone comments on my lack of committtment is only game this side xmas I will be missing. From all acounts it wasnt a thrilling end ,end encounter and lesser teams are going raise their game against higher opposition but we were the winners, have had many a chuckle about their match reports, maybe doesnt want upset the players maybe, build em up !!! who knows but lets be honest we all one eyed when watching our own clubs.

Lee I thought your last report was very fair considering you came back from 3 0 down.

Huw, on the subject of Match Reports, why aren't you ( and Cambrian, come to that) getting your match reports in the Rhondda Leader? Ton Pentre continue to get regular coverage, but a lot of space in the newspaper is devoted to Merthyr Town reports and umpteen pages of rugby.
The thing is have you given up sending reports in?

Yes Brian I send them in every week !!!, apart from games I miss (rare) give you an example of how they think the other week AFC Porth hosed your very own Ton Pentre sent match report in ,as did Ton but you would think that as we were home it would be our report in our illustrious local rag but NO it was the Ton version. Its farcical other week sent a report in after we went top of pile in Div 1 wasnt even in there but they did have 9, yes 9 pages of Rugby fixtures for every tom dick and harry rfc from here to narbeth and back !!!!

Huw , you are right, who in the Rhondda wants to know how Cwmtuch Thirds got on against Old georgetown Thirds? or how the pigeon fanciers in Merthyr are doing,

It's annoying when you send reports in and they are not used. I've just checked this week's 'Leader', there are EIGHT pages of rugby and only THREE of football and two of those are devoted to Merthyr Town and the Merthyr local league. Llwydcoed get their reports in regularly too, but Porth and Aberdare ought to think about writing to Sandra Loy the Editor-in Chief of the newspaper group.

Its exactly the same in the Observer which shows so many rugby reports that the sports supplement should be called the Oval Reader. As these papers are owned by the Mail & Echo group it will always be biased towards rugby, although I remember Ponty's report played second fiddle to a local valley's pub football side with the reason given that everybody must have a chance. Its a joke as it is called the Pontypridd Area paper yet like the leader is dominated by Merthyr.
