I happened to be in the Companies House register this morning and I found
Port Talbot Town Football Club Limited Company number 06594186 Registered office address : The Genquip Stadium, Victoria Road, Port Talbot, West Glamorgan, SA12 6AD Dissolved on 19 Mar 2019
Is this the current company for the club or is it simply an old unused account? When I saw this I had a quick search and couldn't find an alternative football company. Could this be why they've failed to obtain a Tier 2 licence? Can anyone shed any light? If the club has ceased to exist (legally) then this also happened mid-season. Could this mean results may not stand? it's a great club and they completed the season but are there far wider implications? Does anyone have any knowledge of regulations around this? Or is my mind running away with me

As most clubs in the Welsh League aren’t registered as companies, your mind is probably running away with you. Looking at the directors list, they are the old names from the Premier League days

PTT issued a statement advising they are appealing tier 2 decision. Good luck to them, nice set up and they seem to be working toward stability and brighter future. Their present set up seems popular with their fans

They have had their troubles and their knockers but in spite of everything it would be a huge loss to South Wales football if they were to disappear!
