From our website/Oddi ar ein gwefan:
"Carl Shaw's Briton Ferry Llansawel finally put an end to an awful run with a superb 2-0 win at sixth placed Cwmbran Celtic.
Two first half goals from club stalwarts Gareth Jones and Steve Davey was enough to bring home three much needed points to the Old Road.
The team looked keen to prove a point from the first whistle and a workmanlike performance from every player in the red jersey deserved the win in what were awful conditions at Celtic Park.
The job was made that bit easier when powerful centre half Luke Jones was deemed to be the last man when Tyler Brock was felled through on goal, and Cwmbran referee Joshua Howells showed Jones a straight red.
Shortly later a counter attack saw right winger Steve Davey deliver an inch perfect cross for Gareth Jones who made no mistake from close range past Lewis Watkins for 1-0.
Ten minutes later a high press saw Celtic lose possession on the edge of their own box and Jones this time teed up Davey who drove home into the top corner for a 2-0 interval lead.
Conditions continued to worsen in the second half not allowing the teams to play any football but credit to the hosts their ten men kept pushing to get back into the game and McFenton was called upon twice to keep the defecit to two.
All in all a much better attitude and desire from Sawel proving that they are a much better outfit than their league position says, hopefully a much better second half to the season can now see them start to climb the table.
Their next match is this Saturday at home to another form team Cwmamman Utd, kick off 2pm."
