Another drubbing for Llanelli, players and Manager out of their depth. Relagation looks a cert.

They're 7 points from guaranteed safety and second half of the season they only play teams in the bottom 6.
I'm not saying they will stay up, but it's not done and dusted. Plus, if they go down and the bank balance is still intact, they'll have had an experience they can build on.
It just shows there's something of a gulf between beating the Llantwit Majors of this world, and going up the road to try and take points from TNS, Bala or Cefn Druids.
It's a huge leap and well done them for giving it a go, where some other clubs may have decided to stay as the big fish in their own postcode.
If they do get relegated, they'll be the biggest club in the WFL, so that won't be good news for any other club with aspirations to give it a pop in the Prem..

It’s amazing how the Llanelli supporters or club people have gone quiet. Last season their website and social media were non stop and the fella Tony was always on here banging the drum. Now they’re getting spanked week in week out there’s nothing. Good time Charlie’s spring to mind.

A bit unfair to claim that Llanelli Town supporters have gone quiet now that the team is struggling in the Welsh Premier. I do the match reports on behalf of the club, and if you take the time to log on to the website, you will see that I try to be as objective as possible, but the display against Bala Town was unacceptable, and unless some new faces come in when the transfer window opens in January, relegation is on the cards. Hopefully any new signings can prevent this.

It's a big couple of games coming up. If Llanelli can not let Carmarthen get further away on the points, then it's all still to play for. A brace of Carmarthen wins, and it's a massive hill to climb and probably relying on someone cocking up their promotion bid in some unforseen way that happens in the Welsh pyramuddle.

I’m sorry but I’d rather be the big fish in the smaller pond than get humiliated week in week out. How can you build on experiences of 6 and 7 goal drubbings week in week out ? They're 7 points from guaranteed safety and second half of the season they only play teams in the bottom 6. I'm not saying they will stay up, but it's not done and dusted. I guess I'm an optimist. In their last four games they've had a win and a draw and two heavy beatings. That's not 'every week'. By my reckoning they've been thumped 6 times since August, but also had a handful of wins and draws. Their next three games they play the teams directly above and below them. So in old school Partridge speak, three consecutive six pointers.
I'd rather have the experience of the big pond and see how it pans out. Ya gotta have a dweam!

The first is because we are not in the Welsh League this season and the second is that there are far too many trolls on the site!

On behalf of one of the wind-up merchants that occasionally enter the wonderful world of the Unofficial Welsh League site, it's lovely to have Tony A back. At least now I needn't buy the Western Mail to scan the obituaries column to make sure that a guy named Tony A from Llanelly hadn't committed suicide. Looking at the Llanelly situation, it would seem as if the club hasn't got a serious Welsh Premiership financial plan. But as someone else said earlier, at least Llanelly are giving it their best shot + haven't chickened out like Afan Lido + Goyt (the ones from the stables in Punt Talbet). Can't see your point Tony A though that because Llanelly ain't in the Welsh League posts have dried up. A high percentage of posts on here relate to the Welsh Prem + are of no interest to me whatsoever. Glad to see Barry doing well and going neck + neck with TNS for the title, but never have + never will be a Welsh Prem follower. So, come on Tony A, I know you've lost your chum Trundle which must be hard to bear, but we'd still like to hear about Llanelly through your unbiased posts! The spirit of Jeff Stelling's Gillette Soccer Special mischief must live on - to many folk (like me) football + fun are happy bed partners.

When we beat them in the cup final I remember thinking how they would find it difficult to cope in the prem especially without Trunds. Not many teams get promoted and actually weaken their squad !! We got a few boys at our club who are all round better players man for man than some that the Reds have currently got. #uppatref #downatown

I agree that Llanelli have had a terrible start and in certain games were totally out of their depth but the rumoured four new signings, and these will very well surprise you (if true), could kick-start our season. Don't write us off yet!

Llanelli are not even bottom of the league and with some new signings could stay up.
Second from bottom survived last year

Well said Majormoments. I’ll certainly raise a nice warm can of Hoffmeisterpiss to toast them sentiments. I hope that 2019 treats The Landfill Boys and your supporter Mark well 🍾 Llanelli are not even bottom of the league and with some new signings could stay up. Second from bottom survived last year

Heard on saturday Lee Trundle is returning to the Reds. He left harveywest yesterday so could be true. Also Leon Britton could be a Red very soon

With the restructure and re-brand on the horizon, will this forum also re-brand to encompass the top 3 tiers of the pyramid?
I’m not writing Llanelli off yet either. They’re not bottom. The window is opening for transfers and they have a better chance of picking up wins against teams in a similar position as them.
