Silence is because they are mugging everyone off or at least think they are. Lets not forget that this is the very same club that manage to arrange, promote and basically brag about money spinning fixtures against all star teams and travel to Spain to play Valencia's special needs reserve team but here they are and they cant get a bread and butter game on in South Wales during the football season. Lets just say a few of their boys are getting itchy feet so this farce will definitely cost them players. If i was a Pontybullshit player I'd be looking for a new challenge. A challenge that involves playing football for a transparent football club with a long term future embedded in it's community supported by the town's people.

Just looked at their Twitter and nothing really.
There was a tweet on the 13th bemoaning games being called off 😂😂😂
Think every other club should be difficult with them when 're arranging.

There was a tweet advertising the game but that was deleted Thursday/Friday last week, obviously after the game was called off

I would say just this - all clubs were supposed to have in place by the end of April the correct facilities in place to gain promotion to Division 1 - it seems that those rules don't apply !!!!

Not quite Mellon, who knew back in april if you had acquired a tier 2 licence at someone else ground,a "groundshare", you could then continue after april, get the work done and then transfer that licence to your own ground, after an inspection 4 months after the deadline of April 30th. The Welsh league inspected and turned down Leckwith, on appeal the FAW overturned the decision, made them look rather foolish now. Penybont ground was available last saturday I believe , that should have been insisted on in my opinion...

Regarding your opinion Huw, Penybont secretary Tony Griffiths was contacted on the Thursday to inform us that Wales Veterans had booked the pitch on Saturday afternoon.Secondly the FAW inspected Leckwith Stadium and not the Welsh League as per Tier 2 rules.

So I don’t suppose there was any chance of getting it played before or after the veterans game ? A 4 or 5pm kick off wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker for Llantwit that’s for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not a new problem so they should have made alternative arrangements a couple of weeks ago.
Maybe a Friday night at Taffs well or Jenner park.
Llantwit had to switch a couple due to problems with the pitch and ground improvements last season
I would guess they will store up a load of home games for the end of season throw cash at a few players and ensure they stay up.

Hi Max, The Welsh League did visit Leckwith, and it failed Welsh League Criteria, however I take your point it was The FAW who gave the tier 2 licence,my apologies. Mad how a team playing in a league are not governed by the criteria of that league, and that's not a pop at Ponty it applies to other teams as well. There were rumours circulating last weds that the game on saturday would not be taking place, and also that there will be no home games this side of xmas. The situation needs sorting, its not doing Pontypridd FC or the Welsh League any favours,of course the problem is any ground share will have to be at a ground with a Tier 2 licence, or above. I hope you get it sorted.

Pontypridd are utterly defenceless with regards this debacle. Every other club in the country were given a target to have the necessary criteria in place whether it be tier 1,2 or 3. Incredibly here we are on the cusp of November and they are yet to play at the alleged home ground, they are falling behind with fixtures and they are inconveniencing every other team in the division. Pardon the pun but this is the exact opposite of a level playing field. There’s been so much skullduggery and it’s been very poorly managed by the FAW who are now standing alongside Ponty as laughing stocks. The one thing that has surprised me is that the FAW didn’t add insult to injury and give Ponty a wild card in the MG Cup based on the if’s , buts, bullshit, aunties and uncles of their alleged ground. What an absolute farce and while us other clubs in the division are having to make allowances for Ponty , THEY are sat on their hands. Still at least it gives them ample time to arrange a pre season away game at The Bernabeu, Nou Camp or Maracana

Pontypridd have brought all this on themselves through blind ambition founded on sand and little else. They left their home to play last season on a ground that surely failed WL criteria on so many fronts. Now 'moved'? to Cardiff to play on another failed ground on empty promises. In three weeks we should be half way through the season and still no home games played. They should be ordered to find a suitable permanent home venue within two weeks or be thrown out of the Welsh League. Enough is enough, won't happen of course, to many left with egg on their faces.

Regardless of the circumstances it’s failing to fulfill fixtures and they should be dealt with on that merit. Embarrassingly for Ponty Town the new Pontypridd FC have a lot more going for them in the TERV . At least they’re playing football matches and getting games played on their home turf and in the district. I mentioned yesterday that some of their boys will be getting pissed off with the fiasco. True to form and bang on the money a leading player of theirs trained with another club last night so no doubt the 7 days will be winging its way for him. One of their other players was supposed to have gone along too but apparently couldn’t get away from work in time. Pontypridd Town are basically gammy mutton dressed up as a scruffy lamb. They should do everyone a favour and fold. Withdraw from the league and let’s face it they won’t be missed by the people of Pontypridd will they !!

Seems the greatest management duo in the entirety of the Welsh League have left the club tonight . The Bollock Brothers have left the building. As predicted I now expect players to leave en masse ,No ground to play at,No way of fulfilling home fixtures,Pontypridd Town only in name. Yep you're all really done well in destroying a club How many clubs have you now fucked up Max ? its your speciality. Time to pull the curtain down on one of the biggest farces in Welsh Football ever !
