From an STM player: congratulations Llantwit on a consecutive league title. Great squad, and great people behind the scenes building for the future. Good luck in Division One.

That is disappointing. I assumed they'd have been there and only held it back if Major failed to win - pending tomorrow's result. Poor!

Thanks guys means alot to us in Llantwit. Im usually diplomatic but what a shambolic and embarrassing set of people who run this league. Should be ashamed of themselves, were not saying for 1minute that tonight was a given as the couple hundred of people that were there would tell you. But why wouldnt the league send somebody down with the trophy as there was a chance we could of won the league tonight. What a shambles of an organisation the Welsh league are. Shame on them.

Totally agree. No other team could have won the title on Tuesday night. There is no excuse for the league officials to not be there to present to the trophy.

A total embarrassment, all those people would have loved the presentation and what a great photo opportunity for the club. I guess the boards bus pass couldn't get them to windmill lane. Criminal!

Still waiting for an answer to my question, 'the dinosaurs' that are the league committee are probably still on a dial up connection and its taking them a while. Not showing up makes a mockery of the league and its status!

Still waiting for an answer to my question, 'the dinosaurs' that are the league committee are probably still on a dial up connection and its taking them a while. Not showing up makes a mockery of the league and its status! They probably feel so embarrassed they are all in hiding. Shocking that a team get not just get promoted from Tier 3 to Tier two in their countries football Pyramid but win the league title and no one is there to congratulate them and give them their trophy. As I have previously posted on the forum the FAW downwards are all shocking and dont deserve to be governing football in Wales. This situation was the equivalent of a Division one team in England winning the title and getting promoted to the Championship, yet not one single person from the WL was there. Shocking, They are all quick enough to discipline and fine teams for any little issue, yet cant be arsed to present a trophy. I think they should be ashamed of themselves, and should also realise its due to these type of incidents clubs and officials cant even look at them, let alone with the respect that they deem necessary due to their positions within the league. Last year there was the incident with a team having to buy their own balls for the cup final, you could not make this kind of shit up if you tried. If anyone in Authority regarding the WL gets offended when reading this post then I am sorry, it is the truth, if you seek the respect then you have to act in a manner that too respects the clubs that you are representing. Just remember, you should be an example of well planned football administration and these two incidents are far from well planned administration.

A poor show from the league I agree. The league management committee are entwined with FAW councils members so this inexcusable omission shouldn’t come as a surprise. Maybe clubs in the running for silver wear should purchase inflatable trophies and present it to themselves when they clinch it. That would be a social media sensation and highlight the ineptitude nationally. The saying “damp squib” springs to mind.

I think its rather odd that on one side of things the FAW are demanding teams have 250/500/whatever seats, however many stewards at every game, however many turnstiles is required, the right length pitch, emergency lighting etc - but cannot send one man a trophy down to the deep, dangerous terrains of the Vale of Glamorgan on a nice early Summer's night....
..but there we go.
