I expect I'll get stick for reporting on non-Welsh Lge matters, but nice to see two old Welsh League clubs looking to get back to the big time. I of course refer to Maesteg Park + Llangeinor. My brother tells me there's a piece in the local press this week saying that both have applied to get into the S Wales Alliance Div 2 for next season. Longway still to go for both, as a further three promotions would be required to get them back to whatever the Welsh League becomes once the FAW butchers have slaughtered our glorious Welsh Lge and got their lbs of flesh. It appears 17 clubs from across the parks structure in the SWFA have applied for promotion.

Really good to see more Rhondda sides applying to go up - and great to see some sides from the TERV league applying, I know that Pontyclun are very near and Cwm Welfare were pretty much next door - but its weird to see a town as big as Llantrisant has never really been represented in the Welsh League.
