Alliance league not much better, 23 fixtures 5 played, 18 postponed due to the weather. But on a positive note Penydarren BGC beating Pontypridd Town in the JD Welsh Cup in the 4th round getting into the semi-final draw is really an amazing feat. Beating 3 welsh league teams, a Cymru Alliance team and two teams from their own league along the way, they really are a credit to the Alliance League.Still in two other cups (The John Owen cup and FAW Trophy)and are also unbeaten in the league. Take a bow guys you certainly deserve it  |

Have to join the chorus praising Penydarren for reaching the Welsh Cup quarter-finals. It begs the question, and I don't know if anyone can answer it, did a team from the old S Wales Amateur League every get into the last-eight of the competititon? Must admit I don't ever recall it. But having witnessed Cornelly v Cefn Cribwr yesterday at Penybont, I'm know aware of the standard that's being set at this level. To all intents and purposes though yesterday it was Welsh League Div 2 Pontypridd v "Welsh League Div 3" Penydarren as the the Merthyr side will surely become a Div 3 side next winter. But that shouldn't detract from a superb Penydarren performace.......you have done the S Wales Alliance proud. The money will come in useful that's for sure.

And I didn't realise until now......there's no Welsh League club in Welsh Cup quarter-finals so that really does put the Penydarren feat in prospective.

I’ve got a good few old butties at Pen who deserve their bit of limelight because things haven’t always run smoothly for them over the years. The Bont is a great venue full of good people and who knows if they get a home draw against anyone barring TNS? Bloody brilliantl stuff but also disappointed to see Ponty out of it. Shame there had to be a loser.

llwydcoed game was off yesterday , but today their youth team played on same pitch must have dried out overnight with the wind. first game for caerau ely youth since before xmas, topped it off with a good 1-3 win to the away team

Mr Jedward you know who "we" are but what club are you? Supposedly you are on your soap box for div 3 club Trefelin. But we've got a guy who sometimes comes on these Boards who likes to think he's a Miss Marple, he even went as far as threatening to unmask Voggie as a Christmas present to his disciples. I'm sure Miss Marple will sort this out for you.

I know one game that should have been played Swansea Uni pulled a stunt getting there game against us called off we got photo evidence there pitch was spot on good to be played shocking especially when they pulled out all the stops last week to switch a venue to there ground and the weather was much worse then. A lil dickie bird says they was struggling for a team on Saturday againt us cos there ringers weren’t available yes you read it correctly. We not happy at all and reporting it I would just like to say that that we at Trefelin do NOT know who this person is and they do not represent our club. The game was called off due to a waterlogged pich along with nearly every other game in the Welsh league, and we as a club accept that and have no reason to question the decision. We would however like Mr jedward to make himself known to the committee so we can explain why accusing other clubs of underhand tactics AND playing ringers does not look good on the club. |

I only ever listen to comments from members with their club badges proudly on display as representatives of them clubs anyway. A lot of people on here just sign up and shit stir  |

So maybe Tref can explain why one of their players made the accusations along with photos on his twitter account @jamielatham18 which was liked by Trefelin official twitter account? Them there facts don’t lie. Lock it down bro !
