This Welsh League Cup Quarter final game has been called off due to the Buds unable to field a side.We apologise to all those who were hoping to attend.I haven't seen the Cup rules but would suspect they would forfeit the game.

Wow....surely Ponty will go through?
Otherwise every team that are struggling or missing players would call up on the morning of a cup match to get it postponed

Ponty will go through, all leagues constitutions and league rules are based on FAW rules, it is a clear violation of cup rules and the game will be forfeited, as for punishment they may get fined for not fulfilling their fixture, but as its a cup game being eliminated from the cup is harsh enough, they may have to pay half of the officials fees also even though they were informed early, feel sorry for them really, they have a committee who run the club and all the players have to do is turn up and play, they must feel totally let down.

Pontypridd Town will be in the Semi Finals of the League Cup after the League Management ruled that Aberbargoed Buds would be eliminated due to non fulfilment of the fixture.
