to be honest the results are posted on the WL site really quickly so if you have access to the site via mobile you should know pretty much straight away. For more detail you'd have to get Secretaries to commit to posting straight away. There may be a way of the online match reports that secs complete for Tony being being opened up. Facebook is already in decline

i have been an interested non-league spectator for some time. can only speak for Cardiff but the Echo newspaper has a regular slot on a Wednesday called "Parklike" for all local sport.
This carries massive coverage of the Sunday Lazarour league with regular actions shots, team shots and write ups which are far greater than the Welsh League coverage the paper gives in a narrow column once or sometimes twice a week.
With the Welsh league be the second tier of football in Wales feel the Echo should ensure at lease half a page a week be given to greater, better more informative Welsh League coverage on a weekly basis?
cant speak for other areas but think it could be better, as for the Welsh League website thinks it very good but could do with a little bit of a revamp maybe?
thoughts people.

Speaking for myself, as a Barry Town fan, I'm happy with the WL website coverage. Can it be improved? Sure.
However, I'm not sure how much time and committment Tony can give it - aside from the great work and effort that goes into it already.
The scores are updated amazingly quickly - often within minutes. So, no complaints there. I often fire off Tony an email from work in order to find out when a Cup draw will take place etc, and he's always gracious to give me a response when he's available.
Speaking for our local paper, the Barry & District News, they give us tremendous coverage, and always have. There are a few of us who fire off reports and stories to them, and more often than not they get printed.
As for The Echo - I honestly wasn't aware we get coverage in it as I never read it. The thing is, Terry simply cannot get to every WL game, so I'm sure that he will surf - like the rest of us - and report his findings.
We may be getting more information on Barry Town in the Echo simply because WE put the information out there in the first place, via our own messageboard, various Twitter accounts, and other online outlets like the B&D News site.
If other clubs do not - or cannot - get their information out there, then this should not be perceived as 'Barry bias'. As far as I'm aware we are not feeding the SW Echo stories. I'm glad to hear we are in there though.
Going back to the WL site, I have asked for goal stats to be added to the site, but this was turned down. Understandable, really. As I said, Tony is already doing a great job. It would be handy though, particularly when we are trying to collate stats for the matchday programme for the upcoming games and so on.
Interesting thread. Thanks.

Tony does a good job in getting the results up in a timely manor and always posts my reports pretty quickly, he does a good job but the site needs some work.
I offered Tony G a complete rework of the Welsh League website for free. I offered to make a fully dynamic site that would allow contacts within each club the ability to send in match reports through online forms and layout the content in a more structure way, I would have been willing to make a mobile website for the results but was turned down.
Currently I am working on Cambrianfc.co.uk and offered a new website to Monmouth Town which is in development.
The Welsh League site could be more like soccerway.com.
