- if u guys knew the half of it!! I suggest that if u really are fans of the club then u read the website updates, go to the matches, support whoever puts a Crows shirt on (try to keep your xenophobia in check) and leave the running of the club to people who understand the cost, time and effort required to run a WL club. Trust me, we mere fans don't know the half of it! We have it easy...

Can see both points view here, as a hardworking Commitee man and supporter . Unless u have been on a Commitee u have no idea of the hrs and hrs just to get the little darlings on the feild.I have a suspicion that most on here do know whats involved but are frustrated at Cwmbran Towns plight. Unfortunately hers no easy answer well apart from winning the lottery aside, just look at the Goytre situation, players leaving for one reason and who can blame them,if it s offered they will take it its human nature. Theres a good old saying better the devil you know, and thats not being disrespectfull to Mrs Purcell im sure she is doing her very best for Cwmbran Town, get behind ure Commitee and work hard to get as high up in the League as possible, we at Porth know what free fall is like from first div to Amatuer Lge , but it was for the best you can either hide or you can help and a true supporter will help in any small way possible

Huw, i've read many of your posts on a few different forums now and you continue to talk utter sense! Spot on as usual ;-)
And Porth should be held up as a model WL club in all honesty.

Hi All,
It was suggested to me tonight that i may have posted recent posts on this web site. It made me laugh. I can see comments on here about requesting the current committee to resign? As the Secretary of the club i have put eight years into Cwmbran Town and if people want me to go then i would be more than happy to step down? Why do people hide behind names they put onto websites and dont have the balls to admit who they are? If you want to make comments known then please attend the AGM this year and make your comments known. We as a current committee can then hand over the reigns to the person making these comments. As for Gary Proctor i believe he had a great season at Bridgend Street. I wish him and his team well and lets hope they achieve Welsh League status next season. Gareth Griffiths has decided to join Gary and still carry on with the youth section. Gareth is a great Chairman of the youth and in my own mind a great asset to the club in general and wish him every success in what he wishes to do in the season. I personally would embrace new senior members coming onto the Cwmbran Town Committee to benefit the club as a whole. We know we still have a great deal of work to do at our Club in taking us in the right direction. However we must forget the days of Colley as we are now and have been for over six seasons a totally amature club. Please stop knocking the club, we are not the best team in Gwent as tables will tell you? But we still will see the club through thick and thin and make us a better club. With the new personnel who have joined us this season at the club we hope it can be a more successful season. All the best to Cwmbran Celtic who proved themselves to be worthy runners up and gain promotion to Division One. Croesy who established themselves in division two and won the Welsh League cup. A credit to Gareth Morgan, the players and Committee at Crosey. We have a great youth Committee and hopfully in future years will provide the players to develop the club. Why don't anyone who has Cwmbran Town in their heart look to help us rather than knock us as a club? Who the person is that has negitive comments then please feel to contact myself on my email address ian.greaney@hotmail.co.uk
I have no reason to hide behind any comments made on this site.
Regards,
Ian Greaney. Secretary. Cwmbran Town AFC

I geaney
Well said that man! Obviously the underbelly of some of your so called (supporters) , have NO intention of Helping the club out at all. They seem to be more interested in slagging it off along with other local clubs. These kind of people seem to lack any kind of intelligence what so ever. They must understand how difficult it must be to run a football club and face facts (as I pointed out in previous blog)
Yes Crow 61 fanbase are the people who come to watch/area in which they come from, not queues outside cinemas(film fanatics)
Maybe people like this should expose them selves on their blogs and then we could get rid of these sorts from local football as they are obviously keeping local football fans / players away from their clubs with the negative attitudes.
Walter sawyer 71 Cwmbran care home

Ian - take some of the comments on here with a pinch of salt. Most probably don't even watch our games, or are supporters of other clubs. The real fans and the committee know how time consuming and difficult it is to run a club, and we all know that we are heading in the right direction.
It takes years for clubs to establish a youth structure that will eventually benefit the senior sides. Fans should realise it doesn't happen over night and that you can't send a bunch of under 16s out to represent the senior side.
Irrespective of the result of the July 16th appeal i'm conviced the club is slowly gaining in strength and depth and will continue to grow over the course of the next few seasons :-)

Walter calm down! Its only a bit of banter. The way you were talking about own grounds, fanbases and wot not I thought you were on about Barcalona or Real Madrid or some one like that. Not the clubs we watch on saturday along with dedicated comitee members, a few ex players and parents and girlfriends of the players. Do not tell me its any different to that because I know it is not as i have been watching Welsh football for the past 26 years or so. There is nothing wrong with that at all, I am one of those people who turn up on a Saturday just like you I should Imagine. Lets get it into perspective we love our clubs and are really keen, but to the majority of people football is Manchester united, and if they are going to watch in this area Cardiff or Newport County. Perhaps instead of fanbase a better description might have been a deticated group of supporters/officials. Anyway It was only meant as a bit of fun and I hope it has not caused you too much offence. All the best for next season in Welsh one. I am assuming you are a Celtic guy. Take it all with a pinch of salt, life is just to short!

Hi I hope I'm not out of place in having positive views as I think the page should be renamed "CARP NEWS" Firstly I think it's great that Cwmbran have 3 Welsh League sides. Secondly Celtic deserved their promotion and their production line is the envy of most clubs. Thirdly Croesy in my opinion would have been promoted if they had got off to a better start and look well set up for the coming season. The town have retained most of their squad from last season, taken on 2 Gwent based coaches which will hopefully strengthen the number of Gwent based players. They have a under 18 team for this year.I think this shows the town have learned lessons and restructuring a club does not happen overnight. I for one have sympathy for the chairwoman and committee who have a thankless task and if I had the time would help them. Crow fan obviously looked up the wrong definition of fan-something that blows hot or cold air . Try being a SUPPORTER whether times are hard or blooming ;D
