Listen Fairplay, Ponty did HAVE a reserve team until a couple of years ago and they folded, as they had excluded and pushed all the locally based players away, to make way for the mercenaries who came in just for the money.
Graig only started playing at Ponty Park after that, so I am afraid you are incorrect there. And why should their res erves be allowed to play at another ground? Nobody else gets that privilege, so what makes Ponty different?? (and plus they would probably just fold mid season again)

Gareth Morgan gets sacked by croesyceiliog for not getting them promoted to Division 1 in 2 seasons, without any budget what so ever, did win the league cup mind.. Alan Davies at Pontypridd has spent in region of £60k and hasnt got the club promoted yet. Funny old game as they say, What about Gareth Morgan getting the Ponty job as he lives as close to the ground as anyone in the welsh league

OH MAGOOS how bitter and twisted you both are.Ponty havnt had a reserve team for at least 5years but they did have a youth team that finished because nobody would run it. £60000 you must be dreaming again. There is so much inane rubbish in your statements that I think like many others before me I will leave this site to people like you so you can wallow in your own insecurity.

Fair play, you need to get yr facts right.. A lot of yr comments are totally wrong, If you check me out you will find that I have been involved with Graig FC (for a very long time), Pontypridd Town when Phil started 'sponsoring' the club. Yr timescales are wrong, and the magoos are not far off the £60 grand mark trust me. Fair play (ha ha) to Phil Gibb for his perseverence in trying to get Ponty up to the higher echolons of the Welsh league cos a lot of wealthy financiers would have pulled the plug by now..

Redmogsy you say a lot of my comments were totally wrong but you dont say which ones. As regards your statement "cos a lot of wealthy financiers would have pulled the plug by now" dont you realise yet from all your stated years at Graig that most people that financialy support clubs do it not because they want financial gain but to enjoy football or sport. Without sponsors, advertisers etc most of our clubs would find it difficult to keep going. You seem to be another person who needs to knock other clubs because you get some sick pleasure from it. I have said before just as Scril said earlier that all this critisism and abuse of people and clubs should see this site either closed or messages vetted first just as the South Wales Amateur league do. Of course this takes time which the administrator might not have.

Well fairplay you have got it all wrong again. I did mention you had the timescales and the finance wrong. simples.. I never slated anybody, or any club. In fact praising Phil for what he is doing/done at the club when others probably could or would have walked away. You dont have to tell me how passionate Phil is about his football, I had him screaming in my ear for 2 seasons. Think you need to take yr blinkers off and stop thinking that people are totally against ponty because they got a bit of cash.. i'll ignore the dig about the amateur league website as well.. lol.

Redmogsy your timescales and finance figures are wrong as I am closer to the club than you. Just by saying that others would walk away from the club isnt exactly being positive. At least Mr Gibb has been with Ponty going into his third season compared with you going from Graig to Ponty and then to Ton Pentre in quick sucession. Re your amateur league remark,if you read slowly what i said previously you will see it is a compliment to that league that they closely edit messages on their website and stop the idiots that often are seen on this site having a go at everybody or any club. Lets have some positive messages for a change and not like the latest about Aberaman finance raising efforts.

OK. Agreed you are closer to the club than I am. Financially I know EXACTLY what was spent the first season Phil Gibb funded the club, got the spreadsheet if you want it... Think we need to draw a line under this as it's boring me as well as the whole of the welsh league I think.. Good luck to you for the rest of the season..

Thank you Redmogsy and I agree with you but I dont think anybody should question any body that wishes to help with club finances as it is that person and that persons own business and nobody elses. Trusting people is so important and maybe an honest gesture is to return the info to the only person that matters. Hope the rest of the season goes well for Ton as it is a club that has great history in Welsh football.
