Final score: AFC Porth 0 Cambrian 3. ( Jason bertorelli 2 , Jamie Rewbury 1) cam were too strong in the end. Crowd was quite poor considering it was an open day derby. Think Porth should try to invest in floodlighting to host such matches. But that's not a dig cos I thought the pitch was extremely good and porth fought hard throughout. But cam were deserved winners an there can be no complaints! No1 team in the Rhondda (for now) but I'm sure pentre will have something to say about that!! Porth are no mugs an will be tough opposition for all sides this season!

Cant argue with the result but thought 3-0 flattered Cambrian. Pity poor Kiki thought he was oustanding, even though Bertie scored 2, and didnt let the mistake get him, that challenge on Mikey worth the admission price on its own and fair play Mikey had a big grin on his face.2nd goal scored right at a killer time and after that Cambrian dictated the game and showed what a good 1st division side they are.
not having a go here ,thats the trouble on here if you voice an opinion or comment people jump down your throat ,Poor crowd ??, Would you know what is Cambrians average attendance ?, if Porth dont have a game sometimes pop up king george's and havnt exactly had que to get in, and thats on a friday under lights. Probably about 30 from Cambrian there yesterday (didnt count), would wager a half time cuppa that there will be far more Porth supporters when the return is played, dont know exactly but think the club hs been quoted over £40k for floodlights, know there are grants available but still thats phenominal amount money considering the Council wont let you even train on it, but by a strange quirk porth Rugby train on their pitch ?? Cambrian are and have been top dogs for a number of seasons and good luck to them, Ton are getting back up there and at least Porth are now in the same division and have to emulate the success Cambrian have achieved. Jarrad his staff and players deserve the plaudits he was very magnamous in victory yesterday, says alot about the man...top bloke.

Hi Porth fan, apologies as when I said poor crowd, I ment it was less than I expected and I know Porth is a heavily supported club an have seen them have bigger crowds than yesterday. My point about the midweek fixture was simply that, football leagues kicked off across Wales yesterday, an hence a Friday night fixture would hav maybe attracted people who were playing yesterday. Just an opinion and I know at cam we aren't known for our big crowds so it wasn't a dig. I'm sure the rugby match put some people off too? As for the game, thought cam were good value with a extremely professional performance. Some outstanding performances and the hardwork jarred, chris, dunc an the rest have done really paid off an the season looks promising! Agree that kiki was absolutely terrific and a credit to your club! Was a great challenge on mike too! The only thing Porth had to cheer about all game mind ;-) !! Scott and the club have done brilliantly to get where they are, an I know with the people you have in the club you will continue to improve an drive on to further success. Thought dinas looked excellent yesterday too! My final word would be to say it's fantastic to have such games in welsh league and good luck for the rest of the season!

hi camskyblue, know you wasnt havng a dig , feel sorry for hard working commitees when one man and his dog turn up after hrs work but i suppose they do it for the love of the game, nice to see both commitees scrabbling round down the dressing room end with kit all over the floor !! your right about the challenge lol, but im sure scott will be working hard to ensure we have some better days, best luck.

Another derby day for Porth on wednesday night when they come up to Ynys Park, lets hope its as exciting as last seasons game up there. (And hopefully the same result..lol.) Its good for the Rhondda football now that there are 3 teams within a 4 mile radius all vying to be the top team in the valley. Hope theres a good crowd there, and the refreshment stall in the corner is the best there is

Ton beat Porth 2-1 last season guest 123. Porth had a player sent off on the stroke of half time (harshly so) but kept up their intensity and didnt allow Tons numerical advantage get the better of them. A lot of banter was thrown about and the atmosphere was quality. Porth scored in the 93rd minute to equalise and their players and dug out came down to ours to celebrate their equaliser. We kicked off and 6 passes later Chris Vardon (now Ponty Town) had headed home the winner, so we had to repay the compliment. Crazy scenes, but it just showed how passionate these Rhondda derby games can get.. lol. You should pop up and have a look yourself tomorrow night. Doubt you will be dissapointed.

Apologies for not answering all your questions as well. I did mention Chris Vardon going to Pontypridd Town, Chris Colvin Owens has signed for Penydarren in the SWSL, Nana Baah is currently out injured with a knee problem. We have brought in Geraint Williams and Johnathan Kift who both scored in our first game on saturday.. not making any predictions mate, be mad to after experiencing last years game..
