The Welsh Cup kicks-off this weekend. Any possible upsets i wonder?
Aber Valley YMCA v Garw Abercarn United v Llanharry AFC Abercynon v Perthcelyn AFC Llwydcoed v Croesyceliog Bettws v Trefelin Brecon Corries v Undy Athletic Bridgend Street v Treforest Briton Ferry Llansawel v Treharris Athletic Western Cadoxton Barry v UWIC Cardiff Hibernian v Caerau Cornelly United v Ely Rangers Cwmbran Town v Hirwaun Welfare/Mackworth Dinas Powys v Blaenrhondda Ferndale v Goytre FC Graig v STM Sports Kenfig Hill v Caerleon Llangeinor v Merthyr Saints Llantwit Fardre v Baglan Dragons Llanwern v Fleur de Lys Welfare Newport Civil Service v Cwmamman United Penrhiwceiber Constitutional v Aberbargoed Buds Penrhiwceiber Rangers v Aberaeron Pentwynmawr Athletic v Abertillery Bluebirds Pontyclun v Penygraig Talgarth Town v Nelson Cavaliers Tata Steel v Carnetown Tonyrefail v RTB Ebbw Vale Tredegar Athletic v Risca United Tredegar Town v Cardiff Grange Harlequins Treowen Stars v Pontypridd Town Trethomas Bluebirds v Splott Albion
It's often difficult to know how mid Wales sides like Talgarth will do because of the strength differences in parallel divisions of the pyramid but i think they should beat a recently relegated Nelson.
Cardiff Hibs are a club on the up and Brecon looked useful when we played them recently.
If UWIC are not up to full strength yet perhaps Cadoxton have a chance...?
Anyway, I love this competition so hope we can make it through a couple of rounds. Second round proper would be nice ;D
Good luck to all!

Absolute disgrace ... though no surprise ... that there is nothing about Saturday's games on the FAW website. It's supposed to be their premier competition, but when I rang them to point this out this week, it was obvious that they couldn't care less.

If there is 1 "big" shock to happen watch blaenrhondda at giza's dinas Powys, a lot of evenly matched games there though, although IMO I think most of the Welsh League sides should be ok. Good luck to my old team Graig FC against STM Sports. other games I expect to be close are Treforest to push Bridgend Street, Ceiber cons will go close against buds, Penygraig to beat pontyclun, Fleur de lys to test Llanwern, trefelin will give bettws hard time, and Merthyr Saints to oust llangeinor.. Wot odds do i get on them. lol. ;D

We squeezed into the next round with a 2-1 win. The winner coming i'n the 93rd minute. Dominated the second half though.
I'd be happy to see us sign Hirwaun's no.9 mind...
Any other scores?

No probs fairplay...don't want to stifle debate or censor even anonymous contributions as they can aid debate (and make me laugh) ....banter is good even if provocative as it is good if its 'on the edge' . Mindless abuse on the other hand....
