we had 10 players unavailable due to work or holidays and has 2 fixtures to keep, the other being at fairfield united, so we had to send just 12 there and they were mostly under 18's and they lost 11-0, so you're right it doesn't bode well, but with the 13 at albion plus 3 or 4 regular 1st teamers, who were missing, we have a good squad, so it's not all doom and gloom, and i know that albion had a few new faces and some reserves but the second half they had a much stronger side with 3 or 4 from last years caerleon side and we scored 3 in both halves

I would have to say that as we had over 12 "first team/fringe/2nd team" players missing from the game on Saturday, then we would have normally had many more players on the bench. As there was a 2nd team friendly as well then we had to split the squad across the 2 teams to give the 2nds a fair crack at a game too. Caldicot played very well and hardly put a foot wrong. Albion are looking to get promoted back into welsh league this year and they had a number of players who have come down from welsh league teams in order to get them back up. It is commonly known about a lot of players leaving Caldicot but a result like this shows we still have a good team. Albion had fresh legs throughout meaning that our fitness can't be all that bad. As it is only a pre-season friendly then lets not get ahead of ourselves with either the squad size or the result. All in all it was a good performance by Caldicot who had a limited squad so with a few additions when people return from holiday we should have no problem with fielding a good squad.

Panteg 1 Croesyceiliog 7
Home team totally outclassed although showed some good heart and should be encouraged with good passages of play.
Croesy looking impressive with Jody Jenkins, Owen Goodenough and Christian Doidge threatening in attack. Solid throughout the rest of the team and fully deserving of the win.
Will be a force to reckon with for promotion this season!

Croesy will be a banged on cert for promotion IMO provided they dont lose key players to other clubs or injury.Scoring 7 away against any club is superb for the confidence. Bridgend Street website says they should have beaten Aberaman by more buit thats typical Gary Proctor for you so think what you want about that result. Any good friendlies set up for this Saturday does anyone know?

Regarding posting from Geezer, "Typical Gary Proctor" For reference Gary has no acces the BSAFC website so this is an incorect statment I'm affraid.
I think the people that did attend the game and there was a fair share of neutrals would all agree that Street gifted one goal but more importantly passed Aberaman off the pitch!!!
Looked much the sharper team and caused problems all game going forward, good work out for both teams though.
