Taffy well, I sugest thet you get your facts right. there was NO mix up between the Sec Of Bridgend Street and The sec of Ton Pentre the game was arranged between them on May 4 And the date was set for July 27. On July 20 the game was confirmed between the two Secs, despite rumours that the game was off . On July 22 It was confirmed that the game was in fact off.because another fixture had been arranged, unknown to both secs.

This is only my opinion, but having been a member of this board since day 1, it's clear to me that there are three sorts of posters on here:
1. Wind-up merchants (known as WUMs) and rumour spreaders. 2. People involved with clubs who get aggressive if there's even a whiff of a debate about who may get relegated / who may be leaving /something controversial etc. 3. The rest.
The WL is a league that serves players and club officials more than it serves fans, and there are perhaps just as many club officials at this level as there are fans.
Again, this is merely my opinion, but i think this board is not so much a "fans forum" but a "club officials forum". A debate about who may get relegated is accepted on a fans forum, but will understandably be unwelcome on a board with many club officials....
Unfortuantely, i can only see more problems in the future. It is rare to have an interesting thread on here that doesn't at some point have an aggressive/defensive post or a post that involves name-calling. This is partly to do with WUMs on one-side and (understandably) defensive officials on the other.
This is just a humble fan's opinion, who uses loads of on-line football forums. I'm not an official.
PS - not that it'll mean much to anyone but, as it seems important to some people on here, my real name is Steve.

FACT - Friendly fixtures were arranged at the beginning of May with Taffs Well and Ton Pentre, after these were arranged BSAFC decided to carry out pitch works meaning these two games had t obe cancelled.
Taffs Well were told soon after but Ton Pentre not, this was an error by BSAFC, in the meantime work was carried out on the pitch and against the wishes of the ground people but to assist pre-season preperations games were then arranged.
The manager arranged Aberaman unaware that Ton Pentre had not been told the game was off during May as they should have, therefore an errort the BSAFC end which is regretable but were obviosuly sorry for the confusion.
Taffs Well were told in good time as should have Ton Pentre, if there is someting we do pride ourselves on it being professionally run and well organised and many people will vouch for.
I sugest we now move on with all our preperations ahead of the big league kick off on the 13th, good luck to all teams for the new season.

To the Spanish guy, Don Wann, at last a plausable explanation, lets finish this thread and get back to what we all want to do, play football. Thank you Huw for the compliment, double edged I think.
As we are all coming clean, my name is Arthur!!

Personally, some of the banter and the people who think they are in the know add a bit of spice to the board. Ok, I dont like the slagging off of club officials as I am one of them, and we work hard just to bring football to a community just for the pleasure of seeing it happen and providing a football club to our own areas. I have chuckled at some things wrote about my club and its so wide of the mark its unreal but there you go. What I would say is not to get to serious and wound up about things as we all love the beautiful game otherwise we wouldnt be on here and wouldnt bother with this board. To all clubs, all the best for the season ahead.

As so often and annoyingly I agree with Graham. I reckon the message board has been like soap oerpa over the summer with soem great plot lines and barely believable characters...(remember Kenny Hill?)
I do agree with Steve that it's all officials and probably older players but it has been a bit of fun! Three weeks left ...As Paul Weller once wrote "The pub talk, the scandals, like vandals they try to knock you down...the whispers, the rumours, there's no truth but that don't stop those cats...." or something like that.

Well said, Gareth and Huw. Only 1 mistake, lol Dean Morris went unbeaten last season and done the double over Scott. (Dean told me to say that) so as to regards as being the best gaffer in welsh league, you can judge yourself.. ha ha.. hope you can achieve wot you want in the coming season, enjoy.

thats odd I've heard on good authority that Chris has agreed to join another club.He only follows the dollar and who can blame him plus I've heard Bridgend St are not paying apart from pocket money expenses so they are ruled out of the equation! You get what you pay for,and anyhow Chris is still div1 class so why drop to 3?

For the record chris summers played for ponty last season. Was very poor when I watched don't think he scored during his spell. Eventually ponty got rid, wasn't surprised either. And it wasn't down to the lack of chances as the lad culley scored 30 plus after christmas.

Totally agree with that , score goals for fun someone said earlier you will be lucky if he gets 10 all season , i know the fans and management were glad to see the back of him , not just his high wages cost us but also we had to relay patches of the pitch where summers stould for 90 minutes every game lol , no in all fairness hes been a fantastic player throughout the welsh league and prem for many years ive seen that man score some incredible goals at times but im sorry to say he's not going to score for fun , get yourself a good youngster and give him the expieriance dont do what we at ponty have done splashed out the money on players , where has it got us another season in div 3
